Education and Appointments:
Francesco Faiola, born in 1970 in Rome, Italy, holds a Ph.D. in Science. He is a principle investigator, doctoral supervisor, and the head of the Stem Cell Toxicology Research Group. In 2014, he joined the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prior to his current position, he worked at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York City, which is a renowned institution for stem cell research. Prof. Faiola has extensive research experience in the field of stem cell biology and has published numerous research results in high-impact academic journals, including Nature, PNAS, Molecular Cell, and Cell Research. He is currently dedicated to using stem cells for environmental health research, developing big data toxicology research methods and visualization analysis techniques, and the application of stem cell-related products. Prof. Faiola has received numerous awards and honors for his research, including the 'Hundred-Talent Program' of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the 'Special Foreign Talents' of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the 'High end Foreign Experts' of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the 'High level Foreign Talents' of Beijing, and the first batch of 'Foreign Senior Scholars' projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. In 2022, he was awarded the 'International Scientific Cooperation Award' of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
