CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence for Water and Environment (CAS-TWAS CEWE) is established in the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The goal of CEWE is to culture the professionals in the field of water and environment for the developing world through training, education and joint research programs.

　　In 2019, CEWE will initiate two types of training programs for water professionals from the developing and emerging countries, i.e., Short-Term and Long-Term. The training program consists of lectures, technical tours, workshops and other related events. The long-term will have an additional 10 weeks’ internship in the laboratories. All expenses for approved applicants, including airfare, accommodation, registration and meals, will be covered by CAS-TWAS CEWE. Announcement for 2018 Training Program.pdf

Application and Selection Process:

Applicants should be fulfilled with the following requirements:

1.Officials, researchers, managers in water engineering and management in the developing or emerging countries

2.Education background: master degree or above, or with bachelor degree and good professional experience

3.Below the age of 40, or those with sufficient professional experience below 45

4.Good language skill in English

5.Women are especially encouraged to apply

3.Notification of acceptance/rejection: 15 January 2019

4.Invitation letter issued: After 15 February 2019

5.Short-term training period: 14 - 26 April 2019
