On May 8, Dr.Hugh A. Tilson, Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Health Perspectives (EHP) and Dr. G. Jean Harry, the leader of neuro-toxicology research group from NIEHS visited Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences and gave presentations. The seminar was hosted by academician Gui-Bin Jiang. Dr. Harry introduced the latest research progress about the performances of microglia cells in the injury of nervous system and neuronal toxicology, while Dr. Tilson described review process of EHP, and summarized some common problems in writing scientific articles in view of a chief editor. RCEES fellow scientists and the students benefited a lot from the seminar and the discussion. EHP was established by the U.S. National Institutes of Environmental Health, National Institutes of Health and Department of Health and Human Services of U.S. It is a top journal in the field of environmental science and public health, the current impact factor is 7.26.
