On Nov.14, 2012, an eight-member-CEH Delegation led by Prof. Mark Bailey, Director of Center for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH), UK paid a visit to RCEES. Prof. Yonglong Lü chaired a welcome meeting with CEH guests. Prof. Jizheng He, Prof. Xiaoke Wang, Prof. Xuyong Li and Prof. Qiuwen Chen participated. Scientists from both sides made introductions to their research interests respectively, followed by friendly discussion on mutual concern and potential cooperation. CEH delegates toured State Key Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology (SKLECE), State Key Laboratory of Environmental Aquatic Chemistry (SKLEAC), Sino-Australian Joint Laboratory of Soil Environmental Science and Dioxin Lab as well.
As part of the Natural Environment Research Council, Center for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH) well-known around the world, is the UK's Centre of Excellence for integrated research in terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems and their interaction with the atmosphere. The CEH’s visit fully expressed strong desire to develop a long-term partnership with RCEES and laid the foundation for future bilateral collaboration in the field of ecology, environmental sciences and technology.
