On November 7, a delegation of the 4th Bio-Asia Regional Seminar led by French Embassy in China paid a visit to RCEES. The International Cooperation Office made a brief introduction to RCEES with respect to historical evolution, research interests and international exchange and cooperation. A tour on State Key Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology (SKLECE), State Key Laboratory of Environmental Aquatic Chemistry (SKLEAC), State Key Laboratory of Urban and Regional Ecology (SKLURE) and Dioxin Lab followed.
The 4th Bio-Asia Regional Seminar is initiated by the Embassy of France in China. Delegates from Burma, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Korea, Japan, India and Indonesia are brought together to discuss new avenues for cooperation between France and Asia.
It is believed that the delegation’s visit will be of great significance to improving their understanding to RCEES, promoting scientific collaboration between RCEES and French and some other Asian research institutions, and further enhancing the international academic reputation of RCEES.
