Professor Robert H. Rice from University of California- Davis visited the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology (SKLECE) on May 30, 2011 at the invitation of professor ZHAO Bin of SKLECE.

Professor Rice has been engaged in research on damage of environmental pollutants to corneous Cell and its molecular mechanism. Several influential related papers have been published on Cell, Nature etc.

As the keynote speaker of environmental chemistry frontier BBS, Professor Rice delivered a speech on health effects of arsenic pollutants produced through specific cell signal and the related molecular mechanisms.

After the meeting, Professor Robert H. Rice visited SKLECE and hope both sides can develop in-depth cooperation and communication on mutually concerned environmental problems.
