Dan Wang gained an award for her outstanding performance at the Japan-China Graduate Student Forum

The 3rd Japan-China Graduate Student Forum, organized by Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences‚ University of Tsukuba, was held from Oct. 29 to Nov.1, 2010. The theme of the forum was "Life, Environment, and Resource". The doctoral candidate Dan Wang from Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, received the Best Oral Presentation Award in recognition of the excellent presentation at the forum.

The Japan-China Graduate Student Forum is held by Graduate University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the University of Tsukuba, Peking University‚ Tsinghua University‚ China Agriculture University‚ Beijing Normal University‚ China University of Geosciences. The aim of the forum is to encourage interactive communication between Japanese and Chinese student. In the forum, Japanese and Chinese student meet together and discuss the environmental protection problem face to face. Such a face-to-face meeting is effective for young people to understand different cultures and to have an international and multilateral way of thinking.
