   The Regional consultation conference on the development of Global Climate Change Adaptation Network in Asia-Pacific was held on Feb.2-3, 2009 in Tokyo, Japan. Prof. Bojie Fu of RCEES is elected as a member of Steering Committee on Global Climate Change Adaptation Network in Asia-Pacific Region.


   Global Climate Change Adaptation Network is launched by UNEP. The objective is to help build climate resilience of vulnerable human systems, ecosystems and economies through the mobilization of knowledge and technologies to support adaptation capacity building, policy-setting, and practices.


   Prof. Fu is a landscape ecologist in RCEES. He is an executive board member of International Association for Ecology (INTECOL), and the Chairman of International Association of Landscape Ecology-China Chapter, Vice Chairman of SCOPE China and Vice Chairman of Scientific Committee of Chinese Ecosystem Research Network.
