Postdoctoral Recruitment Announcement for the Ecosystem Evaluation and Conservation Research Team

Research Group of Ecosystem Evaluation and Conservation Research at the State Key Laboratory of Urban and Regional Ecology, Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of Chinese Academy of Sciences, plans to recruit one postdoctoral. The postdoctoral position is in collaboration with the World Economic Forum’s Hoffmann Fellowship and national key research and development programs to carry out research on the contributions of natural capital and ecosystem services to economic development.

I.  Application Requirements
1. Applicants must have obtained their Ph.D. degree within three years, and be under the age of 35. Should have education background and research experience in ecology, economics, or environmental economics. Priority will be given to interdisciplinary backgrounds in these areas.
2. Applicants should have the ability to conduct research independently, possess good Chinese and English communication skills, and have strong capabilities in writing scientific papers and reports. At least 2 SCI papers must be published before application. 
3. Applicants should have a strong sense of responsibility, teamwork spirit, and organizational coordination abilities.
4. Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy and comply with the regulations for postdoctoral management at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

II. Position Benefits
1. Salary and benefits will be in accordance with the national postdoctoral regulations and the relevant provisions of the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
2. Outstanding candidates can apply for the "Shuangqing Plan", Special Research Assistant at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Special Research Assistant Funding Project. Recipients of the project can negotiate their salary within the scope of joint funding by World Economic Forum’s Hoffmann Fellowship and the academy (a total of 800,000 RMB for 2 years).
3. Excellent candidate will be recommended to compete for research positions with permanent staffing at the center.

III. Application Process
1. Applicants should first contact us via email, attaching a detailed CV (including education, work experiences, lists of participation in research projects, publications, project reports etc.), a cover letter, an abstract of dissertation, representative papers, and any other documents that can demonstrate your abilities and academic level. 2. Candidates who pass the initial selection will be contacted by phone and asked to provide contact information for two referees (one of whom must be the Ph.D. supervisor).
3. Candidates will be notified to attend an interview.
4. Those who pass the interview will undergo a medical examination at a designated hospital. Those with medical clearance can then proceed with the onboarding process according to the “postdoctoral management” section on the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences website (Research Team - Postdoctoral Management).
5. Once hired, the candidate will directly participate in the research group's research and related work.
