-Progress in Catalysis and Materials for Control of Air and Water Quality-

You are cordially invited to participate in the 4th Japan-China Workshop on Environmental Catalysis and Eco-materials which will be held on November 5 and 6, 2009 in Nagoya, Japan. The fourth workshop will be organized as a continuation of the successful first Workshop (October 9-10, 2003, Beijing, China), the second Workshop (October 24-25, 2005, Fukuoka, Japan), and the third Workshop (October 11-12, 2007, Beijing, China).

SCOPE AND TOPICS OF THE WORKSHOP
Today, development of more efficient, environmentally friendly catalysts and materials for air/water pollution control is urgently required. The fourth workshop basically follows the concept of the previous workshops. The sub-title of the fourth workshop is “Progress in Catalysis and Materials for Control of Air and Water Quality” which will cover heterogeneous catalysis, homogeneous catalysis and material development regarding environmental science and technology. The purpose of this workshop is to stimulate and foster discussion among leading researchers working on environmental catalysis and materials, and to point out the current problems in their research fields and suggest the future direction of development.

CONTRIBUTION TO THE WORKSHOP
For deep and effective discussion, this workshop will limit to 20-25 oral presentations. Participants who would like to present an oral or a poster contribution must submit an abstract before June 30, 2009. Contributions which are not selected as the oral presentation will be automatically accepted as the poster presentation. Some original contributions will be reviewed for possible publication in a special issue of Catalysis Today. Full-length manuscripts should be submitted during the Workshop.

INVITED SPEAKERS
Some invited keynote lectures will be scheduled, and the aim is to make this workshop more effective in the exchange of information.
