Education and Appointments:
Dr. Guijin Su works in Key Laboratory of Environmental Nanotechnology and Health Effects, Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), CAS, as professor. She had been sponsored by Humboldt fellowship and honored by the LU Jiaxi Prize for Young Scientists of CAS and recommended to join Youth Innovation Promotion Association of CAS with further promoted excellent member. Her Ph.D. was achieved in Institute of Chemistry, CAS in 2004. Then she worked in Germany as postdoctor. Since May 2007, she has worked in RCEES. From August to November of 2016, she visted Georgia Institute of Technology, USA. For a long time, she has engaged in the investigation on the environmental pollutants and its disposal technology. Based on the actual environmental pollution problems, she focuses on analyzing the contamination status, formation and transformation process of pollutants, including typical and new-type persistent organic pollutants (POPs), volatile organic pollutants (VOCs), NOx, O3, SO2 and so on. She also engages in constructing functional nanomaterials and its industrial application for the pollutant control in the release stack gas, contaminated soil and so on. In recent years, she carried out the co-disposal study of dioxin and Nox. A honeycomb industrial catalyst was developed, which showed superior synergistic emission reduction effects in the 500t/d incineration facility test. This type of catalyst is futher being applied to the treatment of industrial exhaust VOCs. So far, she has hosted plenty of research projects, including the “863 plan” project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key Research and Development Program Youth Program and so on. Up to now, the group has published 80 papers in the peer reviewed journals, and 10 pieces of national patents have been authorized.
