Education and Appointments:
Dr. Qian Liu is a professor at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (RCEES, CAS). He obtained B.Sc. of chemistry in 2004 and Ph.D. of analytical chemistry in 2009 from Hunan University. Thereafter, he obtained postdoc training in environmental chemistry at RCEES, CAS from 2010-2012 and at Trent University, Canada from 2013-2014. He became an assistant professor at RCEES, CAS from 2012 and became a full professor from 2017. He has published more than 130 papers in SCI-indexed journals. Dr. Liu is the recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, National Young Top-Notch Talents, and the NSFC Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars. He has won awards such as the XPLORER Prize, Second Prize of State Natural Science Award, MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 China (MIT TR35 China), and China Association for Instrumental Analysis Award (CAIA Award) Special Award. He now serves as Executive Editor for Environment & Health (an ACS journal) and Associate Editor for Environmental Science: Processes & Impacts (an RSC journal), and he is also Editorial Board member of The Innovation, NSR, and Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry.
