Prof. Zhang is the P.I. of Advanced Treatment & Resource Recovery Group. He worked at Water Desalination & Reuse Center (WDRC), King Abudullah University of Science & Technology (KAUST), as a Research Scientist II from 2010 to 2017. His research mainly focuses on the physical chemstry of water/solid interface and the degradation pathway of organic pollutants in water/wastewater treatment processes.
He got bachelor degree in water & wastewater engineering from Shandong Jianzhu University, master and PhD degree in municipal engineering (water & wastewater ) from Harbin Institute of Technology.
