Prof. Jun Wang is the PI of the Membrane Separation Processes Research Group of State Key Laboratory of Environmental Aquatic Chemistry (SKLEAC), Research Center for Eco-Environment Sciences (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, P. R. China. In 2008, He obtained his PhD degree in Environmental Engineering from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, prior to that, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry from Hubei University in 1996 and the Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Wuhan University of Technology in 2002. His research is focused on the membrane fabrication and membrane separation processes for wastewater treatment and resource recovery. Prof. Wang’s group conducts research on the fabrication of hydrophobic membrane, electrically conductive membrane and special nanofiltration membranes, the mass transfer mechanism of the membrane separation processes, the innovative membrane equipment and the innovation of target-oriented membrane separation process for improving quality, increasing efficiency and reducing consumption, etc.
Prof. Jun Wang has been awarded by Outstanding Tutor Award of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2021), First Prize for Heilongjiang Province Technical Invention, Third prize for Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Third Prize for Hubei Province Science and Technology Development and Application, First Prize for Hubei Province Science and Technology Development and Second prize for Wuhan Science and Technology Development. Up to now, Prof. Wang has published more than 200+ academic papers on the Nature Communication, Chemical Engineering Journal, Appl. Catal. B Environ., Environmental Science & Technology and Journal of Membrane Science etc. He has issued more than 50+ Chinese patents, and half of them have been authorized. As a key editor, he has participated in the compilation of 6 national or industrial standards. Up to now, nearly 30 projects related to the treatment of industrial wastewater were presided over or technical supported by Prof. Wang.
