Education and Appointments:
Guohua Wei, Ph.D. associate professor, major research was focused on the structural modification, chemical synthesis and bioactivity study of potent natural oligosaccharides and their derivatives (including avermectin, 3-sophorotrioside, solamargine and solamarine); finding some new glycosylation conditions for the oligosaccharides synthesis; solid-phase synthesis of the branched oligosaccharides using a highly efficient synthetic strategy. Twenty papers (J. Org. Chem., Org. Lett., Tetrahedron Lett., Tetrahedron, and Carbohydr. Res.) have been published on famous international journal, and two Chinese Patents have been applied since 2002.
